Sing your music. Act the lines. Stand in front of the audience and let it flow at Open Mic. When you are done, you’ll receive professional advice. Perform with more confidence, sound more beautiful, reach the audience deeply. Imagine that you can overcome any fears and limitations because you can. Don't be shy. It's awesome. Cost: Free (Some choose to make a donation to pay for the PA and space). Or just come and participate as an audience member! Members of the general public are invited to watch and cheer the performers on. IF YOU ARE PERFORMING, send me a note and let me know if it's classical, pop, jazz, or original material. We usually have at least one pianist to accompany people. Open Mic Studio is an “open lesson” akin to a performance. It gives the performer experience performing challenging or original material in front of discerning others, enabling them to quickly develop new technique. It's a format that is used all the time by classical musicians. We are bringing it to all performers. Open Mic opens the process of the art of singing to those who may have thought great singers were simply born that way. |
